What would you do if your child was taken from you? Would you sit idly by, or attempt everything in your power to get them back? That's the premise of this movie based on a true story.
The story is the true life story of Tiffany Rubin who had her 6 year old son Kobe taken by the child's biological father without her permission. He took him from his home in Queens, NY, to Seoul, South Korea. Tiffany tries to go through the traditional channels to find her son and bring him home, but runs into brick walls everywhere she turns.
Tiffany eventually finds Mark Miller, who runs the charitable organization The American Association for Lost Children, and he is willing to help her. Tiffany and Mark travel to South Korea and eventually find her son which results in a dramatic and dangerous rescue.
Tiffany is portrayed by Taraji P. Henson who has previously appeared in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and Mark Miller is portrayed by Terry O'Quinn, who expertly played John Locke in "Lost".
If you enjoy watching true stories, you'll want to watch this movie. It kept my attention, although it did at some times seem repetitious in parts. I'm anxious to watch the documentary tonight where the real life characters will speak and tell the story in their owns words.
